Little Makers Art Co focuses on creating ways to keep kids entertained during school breaks by making fun yet simple kits that you can do at home with your children. Kits include a handful of hands-on activities, a themed book, all needed materials and one of my favorite parts, the “teacher recipe” cards! Teacher recipe cards are a way not only for parents to use to assist their children but also give some independence for children to try the activity on their own by following the picture directions.
The kits offered are affordable, engaging, exciting and something you can take on the go no matter where life leads you. Summer camp, clubs and kid’s classes can be pricey, so why not take the camp or club to you! Kits can be used in all of life's little moments from needing a gift for your little one, needing something to do while you're camping or just for a rainy-day activity! And from this idea, Little Maker Art Co was born!
My Story
Hi there, my name is Alaina! I am a multi-certified elementary teacher with over 13 years of experience working with children in almost every capacity imaginable—from being a camp counselor, nanny, and tutor to running after-school programs. For the last seven years, I’ve specialized in teaching in the wonderful world of Pre-K and Kindergarten!
My own passion for education sparked all the way back in kindergarten, thanks to an incredible teacher who showed me what true support looked like. As I grew, I was lucky enough to be inspired by a long line of teachers who poured love and encouragement into my life. In fact, my absolute favorite thing to do as a little girl was to play 'teacher'!
I've always known that teaching is my calling. My goal is to show children that learning and growing can be an absolute blast. I am so excited to share this journey of hands-on learning, fun, and creativity with you and your family!
Fun Fact: I'm an animal lover! My husband and I have four cats named: Jalapeno "Pino", Cora, Baby and Olive. We also have two mini–Golden Doodle dogs named Mika and Milo!
